Thank Goodness for Long Weekends!!!

I'm always amazed how much I get done when I have a long weekend. Sometimes I could sit upstairs and stamp for hours. Labor Day was one of those weekends. We did get a few things done, like went out to dinner with a friend, took a quick road trip to a local Kinderfest (kids fair) and Corn Maze, and even did some laundry, but I also spent a ton of time stamping! It was awesome. I even got to play with some of my new toys. When the mini catalog was released I think I purchased just about everything in it! One of the things I bought was the Candy Wrapper Die. I figured now was as good a time as any to pull it out and play with it. I will admit it took me a little while to figure it out. The directions on the package are not the most helpful, but thanks to Meg Loven and her amazing video, I finally got the hang of it. This is the project I made. I also hadn't used the spider web folder yet, so i had to throw that in as well. Didn't this turn out super cute? I can just see red and white striped ones for Christmas.....this may become one of my favorite dies! What other things do you think you could make with this?

More Monster Box info

Several of you emailed me and asked about my Monster Peanutbutter Cups. You wanted to know what punches I used. Well, I didn't realize it would be this popular, so instead of reply to each of you individually, I thought I would post it here.

1 1/4" Circle Basic Black
1" Circle (I used lovely Lilac, but you could use whatever color you would like)
Boho Blossom Punch in Old Olive (use the large flower)
1/2" Circle Basic Black (cut in half for the smile)
And then for the eyes I used my Crop-a-Dile....White from the larger hole and black from the tiny hole.

That is all there is to it. I have seen these made with blue cardstock to be cookie monster. Hopefully I answered all your questions, but if not, feel free to leave me a comment!

55?? 55?? What in the world was I thinking! Well, at least now they are starting to look like something! This is taking so much longer than I thought it would. I love the new Halloween DSP though! These colors are awesome!

What in the World???

Ok, ya know how sometimes your creative mind works so much faster/better than your creative hands? Well, I think this is one of those times. I decided to make this amazing project for Halloween. Matter of fact, I decided to make 55 of them. What was I thinking! This is what my stamp room looked like. Any idea what the heck I was doing? :)

Monster Mini Peanutbutter Cups

Here you see my quick and easy project for Funky Friday. These are simple little covers stuck on top of mini Reese's Peanut butter Cups. The box they are in is half of the Box #2 die (sorry you European Demo's!) but the tops are pretty self explainatory and just made with a bunch of punches. Hope you enjoy. Christmas in.....September?

Ok, I'm either a little early for Christmas, or I'm a little late for Christmas in July. Either way, I still had to show you these adorable tags made by my upline Sara. She is now the Distressing Queen!!!! She was mortified to find out that I didn't own the distressing kit (don't worry Sara, I'll order it very soon. You've convinced me!). But she did manage to take her frustrations out on these poor little tags! I think they have turned out amazing. Another Lynn Pratt Original

Ok, I just realized that yesterday I told you about Lynn Pratt, the creative genius behind the bus, but I never gave you her website. Are you sure you want it? It can be horribly addictive. Ok, you asked for it.....Here is her personal blog, and here is her tutorial store. Don't say I didn't warn you! So, while I was browsing around her site the other day, I found this adorable owl bag. I just had to have it (just like so many of her designs!). I made two of these for my kids' teachers. This is Mr. Owl. I love the way his bow tie and vest coordinate.
