Play- you have to make sure your hostesses and customers are having a good time. Keep your workshops light, and make sure everyone is having a great time.
Ask- you won't get bookings if you don't ask. Do it in a non-threatening way. Ask throughout your presentation, but always ask.
Trust- Your hostesses have to trust you. They are inviting you into their home. Earn their trust by doing what you say you will.
Hostess- Make sure you make your hostesses feel special. Make it an exclusive club that everyone wants to join.
One of my UK demo friends, Abi, had this quote in the presentation
But also, another one of my UK friends, Emma told us that what she does is show her customers a game only the hostess gets to play. She holds up 3 or 4 envelopes and explains that inside each one is a coupon good for 5, 10 or 15 dollars off the hostess's purchase during her workshop. The Hostess then picks one. She then goes on to explain that anyone who books a workshop also gets a chance to pick one. Whatever is in their envelope goes not only to them when they host their show, but also gets added on to the current hostesses free items. This gets the hostess involved in helping to persuade her friends to book shows as well. I think it is a brilliant idea, and will be implementing it at my next workshop!
