The Weekend Stamper: Funky Friday Ugly Cat Challenge

I appreciate all of the wonderfully talented stampers out there for sharing their creativity. I am inspired by their designs when I create my cards and projects. I try to change something about the original, so it isn't a complete copy, but sometimes -- well -- let's just say that it's just hard to mess with perfection. LOL
Therefore, unless otherwise noted the projects on my blog are probably a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from another awesome stamper. If I rememebered where I originally saw the design, I will absolutely give the credit to the original artist. If you see one of your designs on my site and I have not given you the proper credit, please e-mail me to claim your fame and get the mention you deserve! Funky Friday Ugly Cat Challenge

Ok, I'm sure some of you won't think of this as an ugly cat, but personally, I think it is pretty ugly. This picture was the inspiration for our color challenge this week. I think the Cat has Pink Passion, Kraft, and Very Vanilla, so that is what I based my card on.

I was lucky enough to be inspired by Ilina Crouse and her All a Flutter card here. Unfortunately using the Presto Paper wasn't an option since they don't have it in the UK as of yet. So, I decided to make my own background paper. It was really easy. I just used Versamark and the Baroque Wheel to make the design on my Very Vanilla Cardstock. I then embossed it with clear embossing powder and once it was cool, sponged Pink Passion ink over the top. Rub off the excess with a tissue and Voila! Your very own Presto Paper. I have to admit, I am pretty darn proud of myself for this one! From Ugly Cat to Beautiful Butterfly.....what more could you ask for!
