You knew it was too good to last.....

Unfortunately no wonderful project today. I spent last night after work helping a friend put together a MDS scrapbook. I'll put video on here later this week, but I just didn't have time to do it today. Oh well, luckily Stampin' UP! has tons of amazing news for me to share. So.....Look at what's coming soon!!!
You guessed it! Clear-mount rubber stamps!!! Read the message we received from SU! "Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalogue and 2010 Sale-A-Bration brochure, Stampin' Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount options. Our new clear-mount rubber stamps are the result of extensive research with the intent to maintain the very best image quality in the stamping industry, while at the same time offering the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps. Clear-Mount Rubber Stamp Features Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle. Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel. Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist. Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not. Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning. Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets. Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy. One of the most exciting things about our new clear-mount rubber stamps is that now you and your customers have a choice. We (not to mention thousands of demonstrators and customers) love our wood-mount stamps, and they are not going away. As you present clear-mount rubber stamps, you find that people have strong preferences either way, but now with clear-mount rubber stamps, you can make sure everyone gets just what they want. *clear-mount rubber stamps are ideal for crafters with limited storage space. *you can arrange several stamps on one block for a collage look. *wood-mount stamps are an excellent choice for stampers with limited time. You don't have to constantly reapply your stamp to the block, just grab the stamp you need, and you are set to go! *one option is not better than the other; it all comes down to your personal preference." So there you go, a little preview of what's coming in the Occasions Mini-catalogue, but that's not all!!!! Now look at our new Punch Design!!!

Starting with the new 2010 Occasions Mini Catalogue and continuing with all new punch designs going forward, Stampin' Up! has adopted a new body style for our punches! A few features of the new punch style:
Low-profile, rectangular punch body allows for easier stacking and storing
Punches lock shut for easier storage and transport
Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
Available in three sizes: small, medium, and extra-large
New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use.
Extra -large punch images also allow for two-step designs like the Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini Catalogue
Corner punches allow you to punch a corner design along the inside edges of a page, not just corners
larger, whole-hand handle design provides better leverage for easier use
Available in an exclusive Stampin' Up! color
Part of Stampin' Up!'s commitment to providing demonstrators and customers with the very best crafting tools includes the belief in what we call continuous improvement. Essentially what this means is that even if something works very well, but we see a chance to improve it, we will work to make it even better. While new punch designs will be in the new body style, existing designs will remain in the existing body style for now. We will communicate any further changes as those decisions are made.

Two Days in a Row!!!

Here is a cute little project I made last week. (I forgot I had done it, or I would have shown it to you earlier :) ). I had a lady I work with ask me to make two cards to hold coffee gift certificates for a Secret Santa gift exchange. Everything on here is SU! except for the actual cup of coffee. I really loved the way this turned out. I just wish I had taken a picture of the inside. The card opens to reveal a pocket for the gift card and I used a few die cut coffee beans and the word Enjoy inside the card. If you would like to make your own....here is a great tutorial done by Paper Pleasing Ideas. Enjoy!!!

Can you believe it? I made something to post!!!

Check out this awesome project for a three candle (electric of course...I don't need any fires around my house) holder. I wish I could take credit for this, but unfortunately I can't. This was designed for the Ustamp with Dawn Year End Blow Out by Madeline Morcello. Want directions? Make sure you click the blinky on the right hand side of my blog and join us. The projects are amazing....(Including mine :) ) and you won't be disappointed!

Where did time go?

I don't believe it!!! For the first time in the history of this blog, I missed a day of posting. Yep ladies, that's right, I completely forgot yesterday. The even scarier thought.....I don't have a project to post today either. What in the world has gotten into me you ask? Well, it must be the Holiday Season. I am busy creating for my Customer Appreciation event next weekend, but of course I can't show you that since it is mostly presents for my attendees. And all that prep work has left little time for regular fun stamping. I even missed creating something for the LNS challenge this week as well. Oh, well, the only thing I can think to do is give you something fun to look at while you are waiting for me to get my mojo in gear and create something new for you! So, while you are waiting....check out this project from the Stampin' Up! website.
I don't own either of these stamp sets, so I know you've never seen anything like this from me :) It was created with Autumn Days and Season of Joy. Isn't it lovely? The artistic talent behind this card is Patricia Brannin. Make sure you stop by her SU! website and let her know how much you love her card!

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas!

I am so excited! I purchased this gorgeous wreath from our Decore Elements line. I have to admit I was a bit intimidated.......it had 4, yes thats right 4, pieces in order to put it together. But, thanks to a tall and patient hubby, I was able to get it on without a single error. Doesn't it look lovely on my front door?

So...what did I make?

This lovely Kusudama Ornament (Ok, I know the papers don't match what I showed you yesterday, but I had to take a picture of the finished one...the other one is still in pieces on my Kitchen table!)
So, do you want to make your own? There is an excellent Tutorial that can be found here Part 1 and here Part 2. So quit sitting here gawking....go get your fingers sticky!

What do 60 pieces of 3 x 3 paper, sore fingers, and a little Tombow make?

Anyone have any ideas?

I started out with these lovely 3x3" pieces of paper. (Yes, I know they are retired, but I needed to use them up anyway, right?)

Then I folded and folded and folded and folded until I got these weird looking cone shapes. (By the way, can I just say that Tombow multipurpose glue is my friend? I couldn't get any other adhesive to close these puppies, but Tombow worked like magic. Of course it also glued stuff to my pants....but that must have been user error!)

Then I stuck those cones all together to make these pretty flowers......but was that enough for me? Of course not!

Finally I stuck all the pretty flowers together to make...........
Guess you'll have to come back tomorrow to see what it is! :)
