Simply Score Tool Private Class

The next private class Dawn shared with us, was making a 3D item using the simply scored tool. Do you have one of these? I don't. And as Dawn pointed out, this tool is as much of a time saver in the stamp room as your microwave is in the kitchen. If you own a microwave, you definately need a Simply Scored tool. Guess what's on my next order?

Dawn showed us how to make these cute little boxes using the Simply Scored Tool. First she started with a 7 1/2" square. She also mentioned that if you didn't have a one of the scoring tools, and were trying to make this on the trimmer you would have to make a much bigger box because there weren't as many scoring options. She then scored as shown below.

The next step is to trim the triangle from the box. She did this using a square punch....what a great idea! I never would have thought of that!

Your trimmed box should look like this.

Finally, all you need to do is put the box together as shown.

After decorating your finished project could look something like this.
