Wasn't the Royal Blog Tour wonderful? Well now that it has ended, I can share all the amazing things that went on during European Convention. This may take a few days, since there was so much going on! It's too good not to share though, so bear with me.
Thursday, Day of Arrival!
Well, we finally made it. After a few delays, a sick child (Sara’s not mine), a drive to the airport, a delayed train in London, as well as a few other minor bumps along the way, we arrived in Jolly Old England. We hadn’t even made it out of the cab and into the hotel before the hugs and greetings began! First stop was our rooms, then upstairs to visit a Fabulously Lovely swap and Make n Take session arranged by one of the UK demos. Sara and I didn’t pay to participate, but they allowed us in to visit and check out the amazing displays the UK demos put together. I already have some great ideas and can’t wait to go back to my stamp room to give them a try. These are just a couple of favorites!
Then, as tradition dictates, we met up with some other demos in the bar! This year there were no hot wasabi peas…..but even without Emily we managed to make our stay with the UK demos memorable! We even taught our good friend (and Funky Friday slave driver) Abi how to take a proper American picture. Isn’t she lovely?? :) (Don't forget, if you want to see Abi, or any other photo up close and personal all you have to do is click on it to enlarge!)
Finally, around 11pm my designated walker, Sara, steered me to our room for a good night sleep. Well, I don’t know about good, but we did manage to get a few winks before we were up at 3 AM crafting….or at least attempting to. We remembered to bring ink, paper, dsp, sticky stuff, cutters and even all three different types of scissors. What didn’t we remember were stamps. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to craft without stamps? Oh well, at least SU! gives us a couple stamp sets so we should be able to stamp again soon!
