Operation Write Home Veteran's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the Operation Write Home Veteran's Day weekend Blog Hop. Since the Christmas deadline for OWH has passed, we have been asked to create a Valentine Card . This is perfect since you have until January 7th to send OWH your valentine cards for the troops!

Once more thing before we get to my card, this year Operation Write Home has been given the opportunity to win over 90K dollars worth of support from Joann Fabrics. In order to win they have to obtain the most votes. If you would take a moment to support this cause that is so close to my heart I would appreciate it. All you have to do is click here.

Ok, enough chitchat....lets move on to my card! This year will be a special Valentine's Day for my husband and I. After several months of playing in the sandbox, he will finally be home. I have to tell you, I never realized how much I needed him around, until he wasn't anymore. People always talk about how someone "completes" them. I have always thought this was sorta of mushy, but this deployment I am starting to believe that he really does complete me. Without him here there are so many things that just don't quite feel right. So this card, was made especially for him!

Now it's time to go check out Debbie at two ladybugs from China. I know you are going to adore what she has created!

  8. Thank you so much for sharing the history behind this card. It's simply adorable! My mom was a military wife and often traveled alone with five kids in tow when Dad was already at his new duty station. I loved it so much that I joined him for three years in the Army. Great times! I've got a slide show over on my blog for anyone who wants to see him. He makes me swell with pride!
