Pam Morgan's Demonstrations

Pam Morgan was amazing with her projects. She showed us some really cool new tips and tricks, as well as some quick and easy hostess gifts. This first project showed how easy it is to use the Art Journals and Sticky Sweet sheets to make a really cool and blingy hostess gift. She also showed us how to leave a little of our demo behind as she preceeded to wear and then dump the remaining glitter on the ground! :)
This card is another Brayered card. She masked the circle using a removable adhesive paper and then brayered over it. She removed it and then stamped the image on both the brayered and masked parts to give the card more depth.

I had already seen this tag box, it's pattern is on the demo side of the website. Actually I will be using something similar next weekend at my totally tags class. I did love the colors that were used and the butterflies. This is a simple and quick idea to put together for a gift for a friend or hostess.
Pam is a woman after my own heart. She showed us how to do the two step stamping without the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I have to admit, while the SAMJ has a place in every craft room, I hate pulling it out. She did show us that one of the main tricks to this was to stamp off your main image at least once and then rock the stamp onto the first stamped image to assist with lining it up.

Pam definately saved the best for last. Pam showed us how to use a simple piece of felt to make a multi colored ink pad. The oohs and ahhs in the room were audible. Where was this idea when I was making multicolored swaps for the Salt Lake convention. The process is easy, and while it won't last forever.....You can get 15-20 images out of each "pad".First Step is to use Stazon Ink to stamp your image onto your piece of felt.
Step two is to use multiple colored reinkers to color in the Stazon image. this is not an exact science. Just color in as best you can.
Once it is completely filled in, ink up your stamp with your home made ink pad.
Stamp your image as you would any other image.
Then create your card. Isn't this beautiful? And so much easier to make multiple cards then by coloring the stamp in with a marker!
Here is just a better color look at Pam's projects. You can click on the photo to get a closer look.

  1. Fab pics Kelly, it was great to meet you at convention and looking forward to london already! Can you remember which colours Pam used for the pheasant? All I can remember is chocolate chip!

  2. I have read all your entries about this convention - you make a fabulous reporter!

I know it must be frustrating for the demos in Europe to not have all the same toys we have - but I can remember from my early scrapbooking days that it can be very satisfying to challenge yourself to "make it with what you have".

I love this felt ink pad tip and will have to play around with it.

Thanks for all the info. You Rock!

  3. More great demos there Kelly. Love both Shelli's projects and the ones here.

I am like all the UK demos - with the UK catty half the size of the US one, we are always wanting more...Upsy Daisy was on my list! But we know we have a bit of catching up to do yet!

  4. Oh my what a good idea that is. Love it and going to try it myself on a stamp I have a course. LOL, don't have that one. I would think you could also use regular ink refills to maybe.
Thanks for sharing the info on all the goodies you got.
    Angel hugs
