How many of you have seen the great tutorial on SCS that shows the crimped envelope card? If you haven't make sure you click on the link cause it's super easy and a whole lot of fun. I actually made two of these cards. One for my St. Patrick's Day hostess as a sample, and then one for a workshop make n take last weekend. I did change it up a little bit (of course I did). Instead of using the A2 cards as directed in the tutorial, I used a regular business size envelope. Am I the only one that hoardes my SU! stuff. Even the envelopes. It killed me to use all those clear ones on the Girl Scout recipe books, even though that is what I bought them for! Anyway, I stamped images around the envelope and then used my daubers (yet another newly discovered tool that I can't get enough of) to sponge color around the outside of the envelope. Then I crimped the envelope. The Shamrock one got crimped in the wrong direction so I turned it and crimped it again. It turned out looking like long johns. I liked it. Inside is just a basic layered tag with some punch art. Three hearts for the Shamrock and two circle punches for the head and body and then small circles punched out for the spots ( I used the negative image in the red and just layered it over a black circle). Once again I used my pretties kit. Thank goodness I bought some more with the bulk purchase!
